Larry joined forces with New Direx when he helped to establish the New Direx West office and warehouse in 2005. Along with managing his talented staff, Larry provides a high level of expertise in project cargo. With more than 30 years of freight forwarding experience, Larry’s greatest strength is coordinating complicated shipments. His diverse capabilities have evolved from his experiences with a vast cross section of industries including entertainment cargo, auto racing, boat racing, sound equipment, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, crating and more. When it comes to high-value, time-sensitive cargo, Larry and his team cover it all as he oversees shipments from ten kilos to complete charter moves. With Larry’s extensive knowledge in the industry, no shipment is too large or too complicated for New Direx.

Larry is also a passionate photographer. His main focus is in industrial photography as his eye is drawn toward old buildings near waterfronts. He is partial to the fine dichotomy between decaying metal and distressed wood with the softness of water, sand and grass. He enjoys the challenges of shooting in black and white as it forces his eye to look at things differently. Larry honed his photography skills at the Brooks Institute of Photography. Many of the cargo and exhibit photos featured here on our website are courtesy of Larry’s exceptional talent behind a lens.

With a standard daily uniform of Hawaiian shirts, Larry’s shirt collection is impressive. Aside from perfecting his signature California look, Larry’s other interests include cooking, alligators, manatees and tacos.

A native Oregonian, once Larry moved to California he made it his permanent home with his wife Lori. They enjoy spending time in the beach towns of California.
